The Black Prince Trust are committed to delivering fun, accessible and inclusive programmes providing a variety of activities FREE to children aged 8 and over. Programmes are designed to help children stay healthy, active and happy, having fun with other children in the school holidays.
BPT traditionally deliver 1-week programmes in February and October half-terms; with a 2-week programme over Easter and a 5-week programme over the summer holidays. For Easter and Summer programmes, with support from Lambeth’s Holiday Activity and Food Programme as well as local supporters Vauxhall One and Watmos we provide free lunches to participants.
Working with partners including QPA and London Basketball Association, our regular holiday programme includes Multi-Sports 10am-12pm, then sports-specific sessions 1-3pm as follows:
- Basketball – Monday & Friday
- Football – Tuesday & Thursday
- Boxing – Wednesday
We also aim to deliver educational workshops over lunch in partnership with Lambeth Young Advisers, covering such themes as health and nutrition; black history; and stop and search.
Sessions are fun, inclusive and split into appropriate age groups to ensure participants have lots of fun, make friends and can develop their skills in a supportive environment.
When programmes are open to booking they will appear on our activities page under the School Holidays Programme tab. Parents can book children on to as many sessions as they like, and children can attend one or two sessions per day.
