Black Prince Trust Code of Conduct for Site Users

The Black Prince Trust (BPT) aims to make this site a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all users and staff.

We operate a Zero Tolerance Policy on the following offences and anybody caught committing such offences will be banned from the site and police will be notified:

  • Harassment, violence, and threatening or abusive behaviour
  • Knives and other dangerous weapons
  • Possession or use of recreational drugs
  • Vandalism or Theft

In addition to this we expect the following standards of behaviour:

  • Everyone is expected to treat all staff, volunteers and fellow site users with equal respect and politeness, regardless of age, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation.
  • Where required by the delivery partner, all participants must register with Upshot and book onto sessions. People who turn up to sessions without registering will be turned away unless willing to register immediately before joining the session if there are still spaces. If not on Upshot, participants will not be allowed in the session until they complete the registration form.
  • Site users must not enter facilities before the start of the session they are booked onto, and must vacate the space with 5 minutes remaining before the turn of the hour to enable smooth transition and set up for the next booking.
  • Strictly no food or drink, except water, in sports facilities. Ensure all litter is disposed of in the available rubbish and recycling bins.
  • No congregating on site for social purposes is allowed outside of organised activities, and neighbours must be respected when leaving the premises with noise kept to a minimum.
  • While we aim to provide opportunities for all, we ask that people respect stated age restrictions where clearly stated for sessions.
  • Changing rooms are intended for changing purposes only and must not be used as a communal area for socialising.
  • Smoking and Vaping is not allowed on site and anyone found smoking or vaping will be asked to stop or move outside the premises if they wish to continue.
  • Dogs are not permitted on site with the exception of any working dogs that are essential for enabling users with disabilities to access the site and take part in community programmes.
  • Use of bikes, scooters, roller skates, skateboards and any other items on wheels are strictly prohibited on site.
  • Site users must not misuse, deface, damage, remove or tamper with equipment, the facility or anything within the facility. Any faults or damages must be reported to a member of staff in the first instance.
  • Personal property should not be left unattended while using our facilities. BPT will not be liable for any loss or damaged items.
  • The use of social media to publish inappropriate comments, threats or defamatory comments regarding the charity will be reported and further action will be taken.
  • Site users must not use mobile phones or other photographic or recording devices to take photos or video footage of unrelated persons, participants, or minors that may be unwarranted, obtrusive or inappropriate.

Failure to adhere to the aforementioned standards may result in Black Prince Trust taking additional measures, including but not limited to expulsion from the premises and reporting to local authorities. Decisions taken by the Black Prince Trust Management Team will be final and must be adhered to.

Thank you for your cooperation – abiding by these standards of behaviour will help us keep the Hub a safe and welcoming place for everyone and we hope you enjoy your time at the Black Prince Trust Community Hub.
