BPT Selected for the Big Give’s Champions for Children Campaign

2nd June 2025

BPT are delighted to have been selected to take part in the Big Give’s Champions for Children campaign with match funding from The Childhood Trust

BPT is one of 80 projects selected, with all projects sharing the same mission – to help improve the life chances of disadvantaged children in London.

The campaign opens at 12 Noon on the 3rd June for two weeks with every donation doubled when made through the Big Give website up to BPT’s £8,000 target.

BPT are aiming to raise £8,000 which will help continue to support over 1,200 children in south London each year to access free-of-charge weekly physical activity sessions and holiday programmes. BPT currently deliver 23 weekly sessions per week to children aged 8+, including football, basketball and fitness, as well as free holiday programmes during every school half term.

If BPT hits the £8,000 target, donations will be used to enhance our wellbeing support for young people with a dedicated space and computers made available for homework before after-school sessions, with tutor support and mentoring for those who need it.

‘Our community hub offers all children a safe space to get active, make new friends and get support when they need it. We are incredibly proud to be part of the The Childhood Trust’s  Champions for Children Campaign and we hope that by reaching our donations target of £8,000 we will be able to offer free community sessions and enhanced wellbeing support to even more children in Lambeth and beyond.’
