Black Prince Trust announces partnership with London Knights

We are delighted to announce our new partnership with the London Knights, a leading light for LGBTQ+ basketball in London, which specializes in serving male athletes. The London Knights exemplify inclusivity, extending a warm welcome to individuals from diverse backgrounds and orientations who share an unwavering passion for the sport of basketball. Notably, the club extends its support to three female LGBTQ+ basketball organizations within the city.

Nick Brown, chairman of the London Knights Basketball Club, said “We’ve always seen the BPT as a welcoming place where everyone belongs, and we’re absolutely thrilled to announce our official partnership together. Teaming up highlights the commitment from both of our organisations to create an inclusive space where diversity thrives, champion the transformative impact of the game we love, and anticipate an even brighter future together.”

The London Knights stand as a sterling representation of the values upheld by BPT and the aspirations we hold for our local community. Our overarching goal is to cultivate a secure and inclusive environment that sets a commendable standard.

BPT’s Basketball Development Officer, Marvin Ambrosius is “absolutely delighted to extend a warm welcome to the London Knights as they join the BPT family.” He continued by explaining that “over the years, this club has demonstrated remarkable growth, playing a pivotal role in expanding the reach of basketball into diverse communities and contributing to helping make Basketball the number sport in the country.”

As part of this collaborative initiative, the London Knights will be expanding their spectrum of activities in the immediate future by offering more participation opportunities.
