Black Prince Trust’s Volunteer Programme continues to evolve and we have been delighted to have seen a marked increase in demand from enthusiastic young people who are keen to support the work we do onsite. Their help and support has had an impact on the great success of our holiday camps as they have become vital members of the team on a daily basis as we have run holiday programmes.

The volunteering programme is open to all from age 16+, welcoming anyone who is keen to volunteer with us. Volunteering with us will enable you to gain new experiences and skills in a practical way whilst supporting your professional development in areas such as, coaching, sports development, marketing and media and many more.

Volunteers are essential to us at BPT and we are always looking to engage with new enthusiastic volunteers to support us with a number of different opportunities such as;

• Holiday Camps – All school holidays except for Christmas
• Events
• Register and session support
• Media and Marketing

We also offer some work experience opportunities for long- or short-term students. Please contact the community team community@blackprincetrust.org.uk if you are interested in work experience.

Volunteers for our Holiday camps are essential in ensuring a safe and fun experience for all children and young people. During the camps volunteers will be expected to:

• Support registration of participants in on arrival
• Assist in delivering sports sessions alongside our delivery partners
• Distribution of free lunches
• Setting up and clearing down sports equipment for sessions

Volunteers will be fully supported by our professional qualified coaches and the BPT staff team, gaining valuable experience, based on our 2.5-acre sports HUB in Vauxhall.  They will also receive free or reimbursement of lunches and reimbursement for travel expenses. At the end of the programme, we can offer a full skills and experience reference, which can be used in personal statements, CV and job applications.
