WhatWeDo

In partnership with its stakeholders, the Black Prince Trust co-ordinates a series of sessions and programmes for the community:

  • Free sports sessions for everyone: basketball, football, athletics and boxing sessions for everyone from age 8 to age 80.

  • Fight 4 Change: an initiative which provides boxing, martial arts and fitness training to support, mentor and progress marginalised young people and those at risk of offending in deprived communities.

  • Magic Bus Explorer Primary School Programme: PE lessons for 400 pupils in two local primary schools. Nearly half of them are eligible for free school meals.

The Trust has recently taken back the overall management of the site, having moved on from its arrangements with leisure provider GLL. It is now looking forward to an exciting new chapter through its commercial partnership with PowerLeague as well as with commercial partners including Nike, Barclays and Berkeley Homes.

These commercial partners sit alongside bespoke community charity organisations such as Magic Bus, Fight4Change, Street Games, the Homeless FA, as well as the Ethelred Tenant Management Organisation (ETMO), who provide a direct link to the local community.
